Trapeze Dress, Trapeze Shape, Body Shape

A trapeze is a very feminine looking dress that resembles a triangle in shape. It is tight around the shoulders and neck and then floats out. It does not go in at the waist at all and is billowy around the hips, with a short skirt length.

This dress is ideal this summer for keeping cool, especially in a light fabric. The look can then work for autumn when teamed over jeans or even leggings.

Who does the Trapeze Dress suit?

This dress is ideal for those people who have a pear shape or athletic frame. It shows off small breasts and slim shoulders and arms. It then hides a multitude if sins around the stomach and bottom area. This dress can also work for those who are petite, as long as the dress is not too wide or you may find it swamps you.

If you have long slim legs then team with flat ballet pumps. If you feel your legs could use a little lengthening, then a pair of kitten heels would work well.

Who should avoid this shape?

You should stay away from this shape if you have broad shoulders or an ample chest when compared to your bottom half. Apple shapes should also avoid this dress style as it will just cover up you slimmest part, your hips.
