B Vitamins

Scientific studies show that if there is a vitamin B deficiency – hair loss would be one of the results.
B vitamins are helpful in a large variety of bodily functions, including maintaining hair growth. B’s can be found in Bananas, beans or bran foods, but can also be taken as supplements.

Vitamin B has a few variations names by an added number to the letter B. Out of the great variety, in order to care for the hair it is recommended to make sure you take Vitamin B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid) and B6 (pyridoxine), at least 50 mg of each daily but never over 300mg within 24 hours.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C has to do with the body’s immune system. It helps promote blood circulation everywhere in the body including the scalp. Blood circulation brings fresh oxygen and nutrients to the hair’s follicles, thus helping maintain healthy hair.
Vitamin C is found in fresh fruits and vegetables, but can also be taken as a supplement. One point to remember is to never take more than 10,000 mg per day.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is known for the ability to help skin conditioning, yet it has also the ability to fight against hair loss. Like vitamin C this vitamin is also an anti oxidant and helps the immune system fight aging and hair loss. Vitamin E helps in circulation oxygen and nutrients along the scalp’s capillaries and feed hair follicles to keep them growing hair.
