Model Portfolios are Your First Impression - Do It Right!

Taking the plunge into becoming a model? Before you go to an agency interview, read this about model portfolios and how they can work for you - or NOT! There are many details in becoming a model and this is not to minimize the other pieces of the puzzle in order to land an agency arrangement. This weighs on one particular vicinity - model portfolios.

To start a career, making model portfolios is one of the single most determining thing that a person must do when first entering the field. So, all of you young people out there who are looking to get started modeling, you need to think hard on getting positive pictures first.

Your pictures are your first influence

Modeling portfolios are more important than just about anything else at this stage of the game. Your photo is the first thing, and sometimes the only thing, a possible agency representative will see of your work before either hiring you or passing over you.

To create decent model portfolios, you want at least five photographs, but not more than twenty. The minimum five that you need will be the following: one smiling and a serious head-shot, a full body shot, a profile head shot and the last would be a full-body swimwear shot, or at least one in tight fitting clothes to show your form
